Glenda Green is an abstract artist working in acrylics and mixed media, primarily on wood panels. She is a “child” of the 60’s and was influenced by the “groovy psychedelic” era. Think Moody Blues, Jimi Hendrix and the Maharishi, or VW Beetles and Peace Signs. Glenda grew up in South Florida, later going on to live in Hawaii and Europe and Europe. The abundance of bright colors and different cultures have been an inspiration to her creativity. She likes to listen to music from the 60’s, which shows up as an Abstract Expression of her emotional reaction to the music.

Glenda currently works our of her studio in Jupiter, Flordia. She has studied at the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach, Florida and later at the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida. Glenda uses a variety of mediums and paints primarily on wood as it allows her to dig and scrap into her work.
